About Sharen Hewitt

A lifetime devoted to her community.

Sharen Hewitt was a lifelong San Francisco advocate whose work touched generations of Black and Brown families across the city. From housing justice and youth empowerment to workforce development and public policy reform, she gave her life to lifting up communities others overlooked.

She built bridges between community members and decision-makers, walked alongside families in crisis, and never stopped fighting for dignity, opportunity, and healing.

"We owe it to our communities to keep showing up — with truth, with love, and with the resources to build something better."
